Special equipment such as cattle pens and an operating table for a horse are likely to fascinate young audiences. In the third book, vets work with typical domestic animals, such as cats and dogs, as well as with farm and zoo animals. The most interesting picture of all, for many readers, will be the close-up of a police officer's tool belt. Readers also see forest rangers, coast guards, and neighborhood patrols in action. The second title shows police officers performing their duties on horseback, on bicycles, and in airplanes.
